Description

The Knightsbridge FLN50 is a 50W LED floodlight delivering 5430 lumens of cool white 4000K light through a 105° beam angle. Built around a die-cast aluminium body with a clear polycarbonate lens, the fitting carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor installation on building facades, driveways, gardens and commercial premises.

Designed for wall or ground mounting via an adjustable bracket that allows the beam to be angled upwards, downwards or horizontally, the floodlight suits security lighting, path illumination, garden feature lighting and building wash applications. The integrated LED driver runs directly from 230V mains with no external controller required. A fast-fix cable connector on the rear housing allows mains cable to be terminated inside the unit without requiring a separate junction box or external wiring accessories.

The 200mm-wide rectangular housing measures 177mm high and projects 180mm from the wall when bracket-mounted. The black powder-coated finish on the aluminium body resists corrosion in outdoor environments. The fitting is rated for 30,000 hours at L70B50, meaning the LED maintains at least 70% of its original brightness for the first 30,000 hours of operation. Optional PIR or microwave sensor accessories can be added to the fitting for automatic switching based on detected movement.

The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral cool white that suits task-focused applications where colour rendering and visibility matter more than ambient warmth. The CRI rating of greater than 80 provides accurate colour reproduction for security cameras and general outdoor visibility. The fitting is Class I earthed and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes the floodlight suitable for exposed outdoor positions including building facades, gardens, driveways and open yards where it may be subject to rain, hose-down or pressure washing.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

The 105° beam angle is fixed by the LED array and lens design. However, the mounting bracket allows the entire fitting to be angled upwards, downwards or horizontally to direct the beam where needed.

Is it compatible with PIR sensors?

Yes. Knightsbridge supplies optional PIR and microwave sensor accessories that can be fitted to this floodlight for automatic switching based on detected movement. These are sold separately.

How is it wired?

The floodlight includes a fast-fix cable connector on the rear housing, allowing the mains cable to be terminated directly inside the unit without requiring a separate external junction box or wiring accessories. The fitting must be earthed as it is Class I.
