Description

The Knightsbridge modular reading light is a 50mm square recessed unit with a flexible gooseneck arm extending 372mm from the wall, housing a 2W 3000K LED at the head. The unit installs into euro modular faceplate systems, fitting a 50mm x 50mm aperture with a minimum 35mm mounting depth behind the wall surface. Touch dimmer controls on the head unit allow brightness adjustment without returning to a wall switch.

Designed for bedside installation in hotel rooms, master bedrooms and reading alcoves, the light provides directed task illumination without occupying surface space on a nightstand. The recessed plate sits flush with the wall, with only the gooseneck arm visible when not in use. The 372mm reach allows the head to be positioned over a pillow or angled towards a book without needing to move the base mounting. The touch dimmer provides on/off control and progressive dimming through repeated taps on the head unit.

The aluminium and polycarbonate construction keeps the head unit lightweight enough to remain positioned where set on the flexible arm. The black finish integrates with contemporary and minimalist interiors, and the 50mm square dimension matches standard euro modular grid systems from Knightsbridge and compatible manufacturers. At 2W output delivering 55 lumens, the LED provides sufficient light for reading at close range without spilling glare into the rest of the room. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to traditional bedside lamps.

The unit requires a minimum 35mm mounting depth behind the wall surface to accommodate the recessed body. The faceplate itself sits flush with the wall, projecting only the gooseneck arm and head unit.

Is the LED replaceable or integrated?

The 2W LED is integrated into the head unit and is not user-replaceable. The L70B50 rating of 30,000 hours indicates the LED will maintain at least 70% of its original brightness for approximately 30,000 hours of operation.

How does the touch dimmer work?

Touch controls on the head unit allow on/off switching and brightness adjustment. Repeated taps cycle through dimming levels, allowing you to set the light intensity without returning to a wall switch or controller.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the unit is suitable for indoor dry locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.
