Description

The Kauri flush ceiling light pairs a ceramic dome shade with a brass fitting that sits close to the ceiling. The shade carries a Matt White Striped glaze: a soft white with fine lines running from the top down to the rim, so the surface has a gentle, tactile texture even when the light is off. A single E27 bulb sits just under the rim and casts its light downwards and out across the room. The light is 20cm tall and 20cm across, and the round ceiling plate and short stem come in Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Satin Brass, so you can choose the metal that suits your room. The Matt Black finish is painted in RAL 9005.

Its compact size and close fit to the ceiling make it a natural choice for a hallway, where it keeps headroom clear and gives a simple space a little texture overhead. The open rim lets light fall freely onto the floor and walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The three brass finishes lean warm and classic, while Antique Silver and Matt Black suit cooler or more pared back schemes, and a row of them along a long hallway keeps the look consistent.

As a mains fitting, it needs to be installed by a qualified electrician, so it is worth booking one in when you order.
