Description
The Karoko is a round side table with a solid marble top on a slim iron frame. The top is 45cm across, cut from a dark marble that runs charcoal to near black, with pale grey veining through it and a paler band around the rim. Four thin round legs carry it, and a second shelf, round as well and made of iron, sits between them lower down.
At 60cm this is a tall side table, standing beside an armchair with the top a little above the arm. The 45cm top takes a lamp and a drink together, or a drink and a book. The lower shelf stands 21cm above the floor and the board is 1.5cm thick, with room for two hardbacks laid flat. The legs are open on all four sides, so the table pulls in close to a chair.
The top is marble and the frame and the lower shelf are iron. The marble is sourced from Rajasthan and cut piece by piece, so the veining, the depth of the ground colour and the width of the paler rim differ from table to table, and a top can read anywhere from nearly black to a greyer green. It weighs 10.6kg. The Karoko range runs to three tables in this marble and iron.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
60cm tall, with a top 45cm across.
Is the top solid marble?
Yes. It is cut from solid marble rather than a veneer.
Will the marble look the same on every table?
Not exactly. It is natural stone, cut piece by piece, so the veining and the depth of colour vary from table to table.
How high is the lower shelf?
It sits 21cm above the floor, and the board is 1.5cm thick.
How do I look after it?
Use coasters, as the finish can mark where it meets a hot drink or spilt liquid. Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and do not soak it. Marble is porous and stains easily, so deal with spills straight away, do not scrub, and keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from it.
