Description
The Kanya is a 40cm diameter tiered crystal chandelier built around eight E14 bulb fittings arranged across multiple curved chrome arms. Each tier holds rows of Asfour square-cut crystals set in a conical descent, with additional suspended crystal strands running from the polished chrome frame to a faceted sphere at the base. The chrome frame curves outward from the central column before tapering down through seven distinct tiers of crystal.
Designed for stairwells, dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 4m, the Kanya provides both ambient light reflected through crystal and direct downlight from the eight bulb positions. The drop is adjustable between 830mm and 2230mm on installation by shortening the suspension chain, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or hung at full extension in double-height entrance spaces. The 6.3kg weight requires a ceiling rose rated for chandelier loads.
Asfour crystal is machine-cut K9 glass with a 24% lead oxide content, giving it the refractive index needed to split white light into spectral colours when the chandelier is lit. Each square-cut crystal sits on a chrome pin fixed to the frame, so the entire tiered structure can be dismantled for cleaning or bulb replacement. The polished chrome finish reflects light back through the crystal layers, amplifying output from the eight E14 fittings without additional metalwork visible from below.
The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Most users fit 4-6W LED candle bulbs at 2700K for a warm tone through the crystal, or cooler 4000K LEDs in kitchens and hallways where task visibility matters. The E14 small Edison screw base accepts both traditional filament candles and modern LED equivalents up to the 60W maximum rating per socket.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Kanya take?
The chandelier uses eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are not included. Most installations use 4-6W LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for warm light or 4000K for cooler task lighting in kitchens and hallways.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The suspension chain allows adjustment between 830mm minimum and 2230mm maximum drop during installation. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface; for stairwells and double-height spaces the full extension can be used.
Is the Kanya dimmable?
The chandelier itself supports dimming when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. Confirm your bulb choice is marked as dimmable before installation.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Each crystal sits on a chrome pin and can be removed individually. Wipe crystals with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with distilled water and a drop of washing-up liquid, rinse with clean distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water marks. Do not use ammonia-based glass cleaners or abrasive cloths.
