Description

The Kando P/76 is a floor lamp built like a lantern: a white translucent ribbon shade, gathered into fine vertical pleats, sits inside an open, brown structure framed in teak wood. A dark brown disc caps the shade, three teak uprights rise past it to meet in slim arms at the top, and three more arms join them at the foot. It stands 76cm tall and 49cm across. The light comes from an integrated LED giving 1437lm, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and the ribbon spreads it into a soft, even glow from top to bottom.

At 76cm it sits lower than a standard floor lamp, which is what makes it so easy to live with in a living room. Set it beside a sofa, next to an armchair or in an empty corner, and it gives the low, soft pool of light that suits a quiet evening far better than a bright overhead fitting. Because the frame is open on every side, it looks finished from any angle, so it can stand in the middle of a room rather than against a wall. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
