Description

Kamarne is a set of three round LED downlights. Each has a brushed satin nickel trim on an aluminium body and an adjustable head that tilts within the trim. Each light is 8.8cm in diameter and needs a cut-out of 6.8cm, with 4.2cm of recess depth behind the ceiling, so the wider trim sits neatly over the hole. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change: each light runs at 6W and gives 600 lumens of cool white light at 4000K. They are rated IP20, which settles where they go: indoors, in dry rooms, on standard mains at 220-240V.

Cool white at 4000K is crisp and clear, which suits kitchens, home offices, hallways and studies where you want to see detail. Because each head tilts, you can aim the light where it is needed: across a worktop, onto a desk, or along a wall of framed pictures, rather than straight down onto the floor. A row of three looks tidy along a ceiling bulkhead, and the satin nickel sits comfortably beside chrome, steel and brushed metal handles. They are dimmable too, so the same lights can go from bright working light for cooking or paperwork to a softer level in the evening.

Each light is switched at the wall rather than having a switch of its own. As a wired-in mains fitting, the set is installed by a qualified electrician. The bodies are aluminium, a light metal that does not rust, and the satin nickel trims carry a fine brushed grain. The energy class is E. The installation instructions come as a download, so the cut-out and recess depth can be checked before anyone cuts into the ceiling. Because the three lights match, a whole run looks the same from one end to the other.
