Description

The Kamarne is a set of three square LED downlights in white, each with an aluminium body and a round lens that tilts within the square trim, so you can angle the light exactly where you want it. Each downlight is 8.8cm long and 8.8cm wide, and the LED is integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy. Each one draws 6W and gives 600lm of light at 4000K, a crisp neutral white. They are rated IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors and dry, in living spaces rather than bathrooms or anywhere outdoors.

Three matching lights make it easy to run a neat line along a ceiling or a bulkhead, and the tilting lens is what makes them so useful over a wall of pictures, a bookcase or a sideboard, where you want the light thrown onto the wall rather than straight at the floor. They suit living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and home offices. Because they are dimmable, the same set gives bright light while you work and a softer glow in the evening. There is no switch on the light itself; the set is switched at the wall.

Each downlight fits a ceiling cut-out 6.8cm across and needs a recess depth of 4.2cm, so it is worth measuring your ceiling void before you order. Sprung clips hold each trim against the ceiling, and the white finish sits quietly against a white ceiling. As a wired mains light running at 220-240V, the set is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 0.57KG.
