The Kallu throw is faux fur on both faces, not fur on one side and a flat backing on the other, which is what sets it apart from most throws you will handle. That double-sided build means there is no wrong way to drape it and no cold, slippery underside to turn over. The pile is deep and dense, in a rich chocolate brown, and a wide flat border runs around the edge to frame the plush centre. It comes in two sizes: 130 x 180cm for a single sofa or a chair, and 150 x 200cm for a double bed or a wider settee.

This is a throw for a living room sofa or the foot of a bed, wherever you settle in to read or watch something of an evening. The warm chocolate tone sits easily against cream, oatmeal and tan, and works just as well over a grey or navy sofa where you want a note of warmth. Fold it over a chair arm and it reads as a soft, inviting layer; unfold it fully and the larger size covers two people without either being short. Because both sides are fur, it looks finished however it falls.

It is made from 100% polyester, which is why the pile stays plush and springs back rather than matting flat, and why it is straightforward to keep.
