Description
A 200ml reed diffuser in a hand blown recycled glass bottle, 13cm tall and 10cm across at its widest. The bottle has a low, rounded belly cut with fine vertical striations, a sharp shoulder, and a tall narrow neck that flares at the lip. The finish is worn and mottled, pale and metallic, holding gold in the hollows and silver across the raised ground. Six reeds stand in the neck.
The neck is narrow, so the six reeds stand upright in a tight bunch rather than splaying. Measured against the bottle, the reeds rise about as far above the lip as the bottle is tall, which is worth allowing for under a shelf or a low cupboard. The blend is a woody one, made to read as winter, and it runs for two to four months; a warm room, direct sunlight or a draught will shorten that.
The oil is a natural diffuser blend, hand filled and packed in the UK, and eucalyptus, juniper berry, pine needle, black pepper, galbanum, patchouli and aniseed are among the essential oils in it. The bottle is blown by hand from recycled glass by makers in India, and no two come out of that alike. Once the oil has gone, the bottle is meant to be kept and used as a small vase.

Frequently Asked
How long does it last?
Two to four months. Heat, direct sunlight and moving air all shorten it.
How many reeds come with it?
Six.
How do I set it up?
Unpack the bottle, the reeds and the oil, take the cap off and pour the oil carefully into the bottle, then stand the reeds in it. Allow 24 to 36 hours for the scent to reach the room. Turning the reeds every week or two lifts it again, and the more reeds are used the stronger it is.
Will it mark a surface?
It can. The reeds take up oil over time, so stand the bottle on a plate, and keep the reeds clear of paint and anything delicate, which they can stain.
Can the bottle be kept?
Yes. When the fragrance is finished, dispose of the reeds and any oil left over safely, wipe the inside with a damp cloth and use the bottle as a vase.
How big is it?
13cm tall and 10cm across at its widest, holding 200ml.
