Description

The Jornenne is a four-light linear pendant in black steel, built around a slim horizontal bar that carries four cylindrical spotlights. It hangs on two fine cables from a rectangular ceiling plate and measures 76cm long and 19cm wide, with an overall height of 110cm. Each spotlight takes an E14 bulb of up to 25W, and the bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and brightness of the light yourself. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Its long, narrow shape makes it a natural choice over a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, where a single central pendant would leave the ends of the surface in shadow. Each cylindrical head can be angled separately, so you can aim the light where it is needed: two heads straight down across the plates, one towards a sideboard and one at a picture on the wall. That suits anyone who wants working light and a little accent light from one fitting, and the plain black shapes sit comfortably in a modern or industrial scheme.

The body is steel with a black finish throughout, and the ceiling plate and cables match it, so nothing pale breaks the line against the ceiling. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from the switch you already use for the room. It works on 220-240V mains and, as a wired-in light, should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them ahead of the fitting. Packed, it weighs 2.53KG, so one person can carry the box indoors without fuss.
