Description

The Jordan is a flush ceiling light: a single glass globe held close to the ceiling by a round brass ceiling plate and a short brass collar. It is 20cm tall and 15cm across, so it sits neatly in rooms where a pendant would hang too low. The globe comes in Clear or Opal glass. Clear glass lets the bulb be seen through it, while Opal glass softens the light and spreads it evenly. The fitting itself comes in five finishes: Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass and Polished Brass, so it can sit alongside the taps, handles and other metalwork in the room.

Rated IP65, the Jordan is made for a bathroom, where a ceiling light has to put up with steam from the bath and shower. It is just as much at home in a hallway, where a compact fitting keeps the ceiling clear and gives a welcoming light as you come in. It is an indoor fitting, so we suggest it for rooms inside the house only. Opal glass suits anyone who wants a gentle, glare-free light overhead; Clear glass suits those who like to see the bulb itself. A Polished Brass or Natural Brass finish brings warmth to a white bathroom, while Antique Silver sits comfortably beside chrome taps and cool grey tiles.

Each Jordan is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass and glass. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. When you order, choose your finish and glass, and have an E27 bulb of 40W or less ready so the light can be used as soon as it is fitted. Our photographs show the Satin Brass finish.
