Description

The Jersey is a 450mm flush LED ceiling light with an opal glass disc diffuser and a polished chrome outer trim ring. An integrated 20W LED sits behind the opal glass, delivering 1800 lumens of 3000K warm white light evenly across the disc surface. The fitting sits 60mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and kitchens, the Jersey provides general ambient lighting without the visual mass of a traditional shade. The opal glass diffuses the LED source completely, eliminating glare and hot spots, while the polished chrome ring at the edge defines the fitting's outline and reflects light back into the room. The 450mm diameter provides enough spread to light a bedroom or lounge area of 12-16m² without needing multiple fittings.

The polished chrome finish gives a mirror-like reflective surface that pairs with both warm and cool interiors. The opal glass has a soft white translucency when unlit and glows evenly when switched on, turning the entire disc into a single light source rather than showing individual LED points. At 3.8kg the fitting has enough weight to feel substantial during installation but mounts securely to standard UK ceiling roses or junction boxes.

The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs on 220-240V mains without needing a separate driver or transformer. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white band, giving a yellowish cast similar to traditional halogen rather than the cooler blue-white of daylight LEDs.

Is the Jersey suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 60mm projection from the ceiling makes it a good choice for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant would reduce head clearance. The flush design keeps the fitting out of the sightline when standing directly beneath it.

Can this be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and will not work correctly with dimmer switches. If dimming is needed, consider a different fitting or use a smart bulb system if compatible variants become available.

What room size does the 1800 lumens cover?

The 1800lm output is suitable for general lighting in bedrooms, living rooms or kitchens of approximately 12-16m². Larger rooms may benefit from two fittings or supplementary task lighting.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

The glass diffuser can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent. Switch off at the mains before cleaning and allow the fitting to cool if it has been on recently. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the glass or chrome trim.
