Description

The Jerami is seven glass globes hung from one ceiling fitting on separate black flexes, each cut to a different length so the globes sit at staggered heights rather than in a line. The glass is caramel, deep enough to read brown against a pale wall, and fine bubbles run through the whole wall of every globe. Each globe carries a small black cap at the top with the bulb inside it. The fitting spreads 120cm one way and 39cm the other, and the flexes are supplied at six lengths between 125cm and 170cm.

Seven small sources instead of one large one changes what the light does. Each globe lights its own patch, and because they hang at different heights those patches overlap at different sizes rather than adding up to one flat wash. Over a long dining table or a kitchen island that covers the length without a single bright point in the middle. It needs the run to do it in: 120cm is long, and at 13.1kg it is a heavy fitting. It takes seven E14 bulbs up to 15W each, it is dimmable, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The globes are recycled glass, each one blown by hand, and the bubbles form during the blowing, so the pattern differs from globe to globe even on the same chandelier. The bar and the ceiling fitting are iron and brass. The flexes are adjustable, so the arrangement can be set to the room. Bulbs are not included.

Frequently Asked

How many bulbs does it take?

Seven, one in each globe, all E14 and up to 15W each. They are not included.

Can the heights be changed?

Yes. The flexes are adjustable, so the globes can be set to suit the room. They are supplied at six lengths between 125cm and 170cm.

How heavy is it?

13.1kg. That is seven glass globes plus the fitting, and the ceiling has to take it.

Are the globes identical?

No. Each is blown on its own and the bubbles form during the blowing, so the pattern differs from one to the next.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let the bulbs cool, then wipe each globe with a soft dry cloth in a circular motion. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the glass.
