Description

The JCB 8.5W LED GLS bulb produces 806 lumens from a B22 bayonet cap fitting, delivering the same light output as a 60W incandescent bulb while consuming 86% less energy. The bulb uses a standard GLS (General Lighting Service) shape with a 60mm diameter and 110mm height, fitting into ceiling pendants, table lamps, floor lamps and wall lights that accept B22 bayonet bulbs.

The 6500K colour temperature produces a crisp daylight white light that matches natural outdoor light at midday. This makes the bulb suited to workspaces, home offices, garages, utility rooms and kitchens where colour accuracy and visibility matter for reading documents, detailed work or food preparation. The 180-degree beam angle provides wide dispersion across a room rather than directional spotlighting.

The bulb is non-dimmable and rated at Energy Rating F under current UK regulations. The frosted glass envelope diffuses the LED chip evenly, preventing glare and visible hotspots. At 8.5W draw per bulb, running five of these bulbs for four hours costs approximately 13p on current UK electricity rates, compared to 73p for five 60W incandescent bulbs over the same period.
