Description

A wall planter built from a grid of iron bars carrying seven terracotta pots. Six uprights cross three horizontals, and each pot drops into an iron loop fixed to one of the horizontal bars, set so the pots stagger across the grid instead of lining up: two on the top bar, three on the middle one and two on the bottom. The ironwork is dark, and the pots are plain terracotta, each 14cm across with holes in the base.

It hangs on a wall, inside or outside, and covers 86cm across by 49cm high, standing 14cm off the wall at the pots. Two fixing points sit on the top bar. The pots have holes in the base and sit in open loops, so water runs straight through and down, and an inside wall needs to be one that will take that. Hung side by side, two or three of these grids will run the length of a wall.

The pots are terracotta and the grid is iron. Each pot is 14cm across, which suits herbs, small trailing plants, cacti or succulents rather than anything that wants root room. The pots sit in their loops rather than being fixed into them. It weighs 3.59kg empty.
