Description

This round tray is made from 100% marble: a low, shallow piece of grey stone with a straight, upright rim circling the whole edge. It measures 20cm across and 4cm tall, which makes it a compact tray, sized for a small cluster of things rather than a whole display. Marble is a natural stone, so the veining differs from one piece to the next, and ours shows streaks and flecks in deeper and lighter tones of grey across the base and the outer wall. No two trays look quite alike, which is much of the charm.

At 20cm across, it suits the places where space is tight: a windowsill, a bedside table, a narrow shelf or the middle of a coffee table. The upright rim keeps small things gathered, so it works as a catch-all for keys, rings or loose change by the front door, or as a stand for a jar candle with a few shells or pebbles around it. On a kitchen shelf it sits comfortably among stoneware and wooden boards as a piece for display. It suits anyone who likes natural materials and a calm, pared-back look.
