Description
The Iswa is a counter stool with a padded seat in rich green goat leather, a woven cane back and a frame of black iron. The back is a single rectangular panel of open cane set in a pale mango wood surround, carried on two slim iron uprights that bend at the seat and run on down as the back legs. The seat pad is square with rounded corners, deep green and slightly mottled where the leather has taken the dye unevenly. Four round iron legs splay outwards, tied by a square footrail set low.
The seat sits at 69cm, which is counter height, so it pulls under a kitchen island or a breakfast bar rather than a dining table. Overall it stands 107cm to the top of the back, 44cm wide and 52cm deep, and the footrail runs right round all four sides, so there is somewhere to put a foot whichever way the stool is turned. The cane is detailed on the reverse as well as the front, which is the face that shows when the stool is pushed under an island. It stands exactly that way against a counter, with the back turned into the room.
The frame is iron, the seat is tanned goat leather and the back is woven cane set in a mango wood surround. Because the hide is a natural material, the depth of the green varies across the pad. The Iswa range runs the same counter stool in tan and in aged black, and a matching dining chair in tan, green and black.

Frequently Asked

Will it fit under a kitchen island?
It is made for counter height. It stands 107cm to the top of the back, 44cm wide and 52cm deep.
What is the back made from?
Woven cane set in a mango wood surround, carried on the iron frame. The cane is detailed on the reverse as well as the front.
What leather is the seat?
Tanned goat leather, in a deep green.
Is there a matching dining chair?
Yes. The Iswa dining chair is made in tan, green and black, and the counter stool also comes in tan and aged black.
