Description

The Knightsbridge 4IPB is a 36mm diameter recessed ground light with four blue LEDs set behind a matt diffuser and a grade 304 stainless steel bezel. The fitting operates on 24V DC constant voltage, requiring a separate constant voltage driver (sold separately), and must be wired in parallel when installing multiple units on the same driver. The IP67 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m depth, making it suitable for pathways, driveways and garden borders exposed to heavy rain and standing water.

Designed for outdoor pathway marking, border accent lighting and step delineation, the fitting is installed flush with paving, concrete or resin-bound gravel surfaces using a 28mm diameter core drill. The recessed depth of 59mm requires at least 65mm of substrate or void beneath the finished surface to accommodate the fitting body and the supplied 3m tail of H05RN-F cable. The blue LED output provides a marker or accent light rather than functional pathway illumination, typically used to define edges or create colour zoning in outdoor lighting schemes.

The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments better than aluminium or mild steel alternatives. The matt diffuser softens the blue LED point sources into a single wash of light across the 36mm aperture, reducing glare when viewed from pedestrian height. The 0.5W power draw per fitting allows up to 30 units to be run from a typical 15W 24V constant voltage driver without exceeding capacity. The Class III rating confirms the fitting has no accessible metal parts connected to mains voltage, relying entirely on extra-low-voltage (ELV) supply for safety.
