Description

The Knightsbridge OP7E is a single-gang outdoor electrical enclosure rated IP66 and IK06, moulded from high-impact polycarbonate with a black body and a transparent smoked lid. The enclosure accepts standard Knightsbridge 7mm Curved Edge, Modular, or Grid accessories and provides multiple 20mm entry points for cable glands or conduit fittings.

Designed for outdoor switch and socket installations where weatherproofing is required, the enclosure mounts to brick, block, or timber via four fixing points on the back plate. The IP66 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, while the IK06 rating certifies resistance to 1 joule mechanical impacts. The smoked lid allows visual inspection of switch positions or indicator lights without opening the enclosure.

The lid opens on a simple latch mechanism and can be propped open during wiring or maintenance, leaving both hands free. The internal cable channels are sized to accommodate thick over-moulded outdoor plugs without forcing or compression, and the 20mm entry points can be positioned on any face of the enclosure depending on conduit routing requirements. At 158.5mm high, 110.5mm wide, and 92.1mm projection from the mounting surface, the enclosure provides working depth for most outdoor accessories without excessive bulk on the wall.
