A zebra takes centre stage in this framed canvas, built up from layered collage. Look closely and the classic black and white stripes give way to fragments of patterned paper, script, floral motifs and flecks of copper and gold. The result is a portrait that reads as monochrome from across the room and reveals its detail up close, set against a soft grey wash background.

The piece sits behind glass within a light wood-tone frame and a wide white mount, which gives the artwork room to breathe.
