Description

The Imoma full length mirror is 180cm tall and 80cm wide, an iron frame finished in brass with flat bars laid across the glass in the pattern of a window. Three columns of rectangular panes run the full height, and above them the arched head carries a smaller arch set in the middle with curved segments fanning out around it to the rim. The brass is antiqued rather than bright, darker in the hollows and along the edges of the bars. The frame is 3cm deep, and there are two keyhole plates fixed at the top corners on the back.

At 180cm the mirror shows a whole figure, and at 80cm wide there is room to step back into it. It weighs 28kg. It stands on the floor against a wall, and its scale and weight mean it requires secure fastening to one. The arched top takes the corners off the outline, so it will go under a sloping ceiling or a beam where a square-topped mirror of the same height would not.

The frame is iron and the panes are mirror glass. The brass is a finish worked over the iron rather than a metal in its own right, and it sits differently from bar to bar. Imoma is also made as an overmantle arch, 100cm wide and 80cm tall, and that one comes in black as well as brass.
