The Ignitia is a pendant suspension kit comprising a 2m steel cable, a matt black metal ceiling cap (100mm diameter, 55mm projection), and cable-grip hardware for securing LED pendant lights to standard UK ceiling roses. The steel cable passes through the ceiling cap via a central aperture and the kit includes threaded grips that allow the cable to be locked at any chosen drop length between 200mm and the full 2m run.

Designed for use with pendant lights that lack an integral suspension system or where the manufacturer's supplied cable is too short for high ceilings, the kit pairs with most E27 and E14 pendant fittings up to 3kg in weight. The cable grip uses a threaded barrel system rather than a set screw, distributing load across the cable strands without crushing individual wires. The matt black ceiling cap conceals the ceiling rose and cable entry point, giving a clean finish on both plasterboard and period ceilings.

The steel cable is 1.5mm diameter braided construction with a safe working load of 5kg, providing a comfortable margin for pendant lights in the 1-3kg range. The matt black finish on the ceiling cap matches most contemporary pendant fixtures in black, brass or chrome and pairs with exposed filament bulbs without visual clash. The kit is reusable — the cable can be removed, cut to a different length and re-installed with the same ceiling cap if room layouts change.
