The Ignitia-2 is a 1070mm linear pendant light from Ideal Lux Italy, housing an integrated 36W LED module set to 4000K cool white. The aluminium body is finished in matt white and delivers both direct downlight and indirect uplight through two separate LED arrays, controlled via a switch on the fitting itself that toggles the indirect component on or off.

Designed for commercial and residential spaces where clean, diffused task lighting is needed without glare, the Ignitia-2 suits kitchen islands, office desks, dining tables and retail display areas. The 1070mm length covers a typical 900-1200mm island or desk surface when hung 700-900mm above the worktop. The 35mm projection and 80mm height give the fitting a shallow profile that works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, and the IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor areas only.

The dual LED array provides functional flexibility: with the indirect uplight switched on, the fitting casts light onto the ceiling to soften shadows and raise ambient levels in the room; with it switched off, the fitting acts as pure task lighting. The 4000K colour temperature sits in the cool white spectrum, suited to work environments, kitchens and bathrooms where colour accuracy and alertness are priorities. The aluminium construction and matt white powder coat resist discolouration from heat over the fitting's lifespan, and the integrated LED cannot be replaced, when the LED eventually reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced.

Is the Ignitia-2 dimmable?

No. The integrated LED module operates at full output only. The switch on the fitting controls whether the indirect uplight component is on or off, but does not dim the brightness of either the direct or indirect arrays.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is a cool white colour temperature, closer to daylight than the warm yellow tones of 2700-3000K domestic lighting. This makes it suitable for task-focused environments like kitchens, offices and bathrooms where clarity and alertness are needed.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced as a separate component. Ideal Lux LED modules typically have a rated lifespan of 30,000-50,000 hours, which equates to many years of normal domestic or commercial use.

What height should the fitting be suspended at?

For a kitchen island or dining table, hang the Ignitia-2 700-900mm above the surface. For office desks or work areas, 800-1000mm above the desk provides adequate task light without glare at seated eye level.
