Description
This little gingerbread chalet decoration brings the look of a freshly iced Christmas bake to a shelf, with none of the crumbs. It is moulded in resin, also known as polystone, and finished in a warm light brown with a sugary, speckled texture, then piped all over in white icing details. The front gable carries a red heart beneath a small iced flourish, there are four-pane windows on both floors, a rope of icing beads runs between the storeys, and the arched front door wears a tiny wreath with a red bow. A chimney rises from the snowy roof, a little lean-to with its own window sits to one side, and the back is finished just as carefully, with four more windows and a second red heart. It stands 11cm tall, 7cm wide and 6cm deep.
At 11cm tall it sits comfortably on a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a bookshelf or the end of a sideboard, and it is just as happy tucked among greenery and baubles on the Christmas table. Because the back is decorated too, it looks finished from every side, so it can go on a coffee table in the middle of a room. Group it with other little houses you already own to build a snowy street, or let it stand alone as a festive touch in a hallway or kitchen.
The resin is moulded with fine piped detail, and the snowy base gives it a flat footing, so it stands on its own without any fixing. Care is simple: dust it with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe away any marks with a barely damp cloth. When the decorations come down, wrap it in tissue and box it with your other Christmas pieces so the chimney and icing edges stay crisp for next year. It makes a sweet little Christmas gift on its own, or a cheerful addition to a festive hamper.

Frequently Asked
How big is the gingerbread chalet decoration?
It stands 11cm tall, 7cm wide and 6cm deep. That is a small size that fits easily on a windowsill, a mantelpiece or a bookshelf.
What is the gingerbread chalet made of?
It is made of resin, also known as polystone. It is moulded and painted to look like an iced gingerbread house, with white piped details and a speckled finish.
Is it real gingerbread?
No, it only has the look of gingerbread. It is made entirely of resin, so it is not edible and is purely a decoration for your home at Christmas.
Does it hang or stand?
It stands on its own flat, snowy base and has no hook or cord, so it sits neatly on any flat shelf, sill or table.
Is the back of the chalet decorated?
Yes, the back has four windows, a red heart on the gable and white icing trim. It looks finished from every side, so it can sit where it is seen all round.
How should I look after it?
Dust it with a soft, dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a barely damp cloth. Wrap it in tissue when you pack it away after Christmas.
