Description

The Ibis is a 35cm crystal chandelier combining a handmade white feather shade with a polished chrome frame and cascading crystal droplets. Three E14 bulb fittings sit within the feather canopy, with multiple strands of faceted crystal spheres hanging below, each strand ending in a larger cut crystal teardrop. The chrome canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose with an adjustable cable drop ranging from 430mm minimum to 1930mm maximum.

Designed for bedrooms, boutique hotel rooms, dressing areas and smaller dining spaces where ceiling height allows, the Ibis provides diffused ambient light through the feather shade with accent sparkle from the crystals. The feather construction softens the light output and creates textural interest at eye level when viewed from below. The 35cm diameter suits rooms of 3-4m width without dominating the space, while the adjustable drop allows the chandelier to hang 600-900mm below the ceiling depending on room height and function.

Each feather is individually applied to the wire frame by hand, so minor variations in feather placement and density occur between individual pieces. Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and use a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming.

How is the feather shade cleaned?

Feathers attract dust. Use a soft brush attachment on low suction to remove surface dust, or a clean, dry microfibre cloth to gently wipe in the direction of the feather barbs. Do not use water, sprays or chemical cleaners on the feathers.

What ceiling height is needed for the chandelier?

The minimum drop of 430mm means the chandelier sits 43cm below the ceiling at its shortest setting. For a bedroom or dressing area this works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings. For dining tables where the fitting hangs lower, ceiling heights of 2.6m or above are recommended to maintain adequate head clearance beneath the crystals.
