Description

This is the replacement prismatic glass for our Horatio Bulkhead light, sold on its own. It is an oval of clear glass with rounded ends, ribbed across its whole face, with a band along the centre ribbed in the same way. Prismatic is the name for this kind of ribbed glass, and it is the glass the Horatio Bulkhead is made to take.

It is for anyone who already owns a Horatio Bulkhead and has a chipped, cracked or broken glass. Glass on a light takes the odd knock. Replacing just the glass means the light itself stays where it is, with no new fitting to buy and no change to the look you chose. It also makes a sensible spare to keep in a drawer, so a breakage never leaves the light without its glass for long.

Prismatic glass is ribbed for a reason. The ribs bend and scatter the light passing through them, so the glow spreads more evenly and the bright point of the lamp is softened rather than glaring. That is why a matching replacement matters: plain glass would light the space differently and look out of place on a Horatio Bulkhead. Before ordering, check that the light you own is a Horatio Bulkhead, since that is the light this glass is made to fit.
