Description
The Hirnette is a round LED flush ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, 34cm across and only 6.5cm deep. A white steel body holds a white plastic diffuser framed by a slim satin nickel ring, so it looks crisp and tidy whether it is lit or not. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 18W and giving 2,250lm, a generous output for a single ceiling fitting. It is rated IP54, protected from dust and splashing water, and that one figure settles where it can go: indoors in any room, and outdoors too.
Outside, it belongs on the ceiling of a covered porch, veranda or open-sided terrace, where an ordinary indoor light would be out of place. Inside, it suits the rooms where steam and splashes are part of daily life, such as a utility room, a downstairs cloakroom or a busy kitchen. We would also suggest it for a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The shallow profile keeps low ceilings feeling open, which makes it a neat choice for a hallway, landing or bedroom too. For anyone replacing a dated bulkhead or a dusty old pendant, it gives one clean, modern fitting that copes with indoor and sheltered outdoor spots alike.
There are three colour temperatures, chosen at the light itself: 3000K for a warm, relaxed glow, 4000K for a neutral white and 6000K for a cool, bright daylight tone. Because the setting is made at the light rather than at the wall, it pays to settle on the one that suits the room early. The light is not dimmable and works from your existing wall switch. With integrated LEDs there is no bulb to replace. Packed, it weighs 0.77KG. As a hard-wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download to share ahead of the job.
