Hinvette is a compact outdoor wall light in black. It is built around a tapered round shade that widens towards an open base and sits against the upper part of a slim, upright rectangular backplate. The body is aluminium and steel. It stands 20.5cm tall, is 10cm wide and comes 12.5cm out from the wall, so it suits a porch or a narrow stretch of brickwork without crowding it. The light source is a GU10, rated at 4.6W and giving 400lm. Its IP54 rating means it is protected from dust and splashing water, so it can live outdoors on a house wall through every season.

Because the shade is open only at its base, the light is thrown downward, washing the wall below the fitting and the ground at its foot. That makes it a good choice beside a front door, along a side return or on a garage wall, where you want to see the step and the path rather than light the whole garden. A pair either side of a door looks tidy and balanced, and the plain black outline sits comfortably against render, painted brick or timber cladding. It suits anyone after a modern, understated look for the outside of the house.

There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so turning it on and off is as simple as using any other light switch.
