Description
The Henorne is a tripod table lamp with a studio spotlight look: three black wooden legs meet at brass-toned joints, braced by a slim brass-toned stretcher, and carry a round black steel shade lined in gold. It stands 73.5cm tall and is 38cm in diameter, so it holds its own on a sideboard or a wide console rather than reading as a small bedside light. It takes an E27 bulb up to 60W, and the bulb is not included, so the colour of the light is yours to choose. The IP20 rating settles where it lives: indoors and dry, in living rooms, bedrooms and studies, never a bathroom or a porch.
We like it wherever a room needs height and a focal point without the footprint of a floor lamp: the end of a sideboard, a desk in a home office, a console in the hall. The gold lining brings a warm gleam to the inside of the shade, and the black and brass sit happily with dark wood, leather and exposed brick as well as plain painted walls. It suits anyone drawn to an industrial, film-set look who still wants a lamp that sits on a table.
The body pairs wood with steel, finished in black, brass and gold: black legs and outer shell, brass-toned joints and brace, and a gold lining inside the shade. A cord switch sits on the cable, so you can turn the light on and off without reaching round the shade. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 3.23KG packed. The installation instructions come as a download. For care, a soft dry cloth keeps the black finish and the gold lining free of dust; let the bulb cool before you dust the shade.
