This is a plain round plate in brass, 23cm across and shallow in depth, made to sit flat and cover a good spread of ceiling. The face is unbroken, with no hole through the centre, so it reads as a solid disc rather than a fitting in its own right. It is a heavy duty piece, with real weight in the hand, and the brass has a warm yellow tone that sits happily beside older ironmongery and darker timber.
