Hayes Round Ceiling Rose 60cm - Satin Black

A flat, round disc finished in satin black, slim in profile and 60cm across, made to gather a group of pendant drops into one neat circle overhead. Nine openings are spaced across the face, so a set of individual pendants can be arranged as a cluster and read as one piece rather than nine unrelated fittings. It is a non-electric part: there is no lamp holder and no light source within it, and it simply provides the tidy surface the flexes pass through.

This is the piece we turn to when a customer wants a considered pendant cluster over a long dining table, a kitchen island or a generous hallway, and would rather not see a scatter of separate fittings across the ceiling. The wide face suits rooms with a bit of height and floor area to answer it, and the black works hard against a pale plastered ceiling, drawing the eye to the shape of the arrangement itself. Set your drops at staggered lengths for a loose, layered look, or level them for something quieter and more formal.

The satin sheen is a low, even black that keeps highlights soft and does not show fingermarks the way a polished finish would. Because it sits high in the room, a light pass with a lint free duster on the end of an extending pole two or three times a year is usually all it asks; in a kitchen, an occasional wipe with a barely damp cloth will lift any airborne grease before it dulls the surface. It carries a one year warranty. What size is the plate?

It measures 600mm in diameter with a shallow 25mm depth, and weighs 3kg.

How many pendants can it hold?

There are nine holes across the face, so it is designed for a nine drop arrangement.

Does it come with pendant sets or lamps?

No. It is a non-electric accessory with no lamp holder, so the pendant flexes, holders, shades and lamps are all specified separately.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms such as dining rooms, kitchens, hallways and living spaces.

What finish is it?

Satin black, a low sheen even black that is easy to keep looking clean and pairs well with matt black cable grips.

How should I clean it?

Dust it with a soft lint free cloth, using an extending pole if the ceiling is high. For kitchen installations, a barely damp cloth removes light grease; avoid abrasive creams and solvents.
