Description

A shallow round disc of steel under a polished chrome finish, 40cm across, with five openings arranged for pendant flexes. The profile is slim, so it reads as a bright ring against the ceiling rather than a raised box, and the mirror-like surface picks up whatever light hangs beneath it. It does no electrical work of its own: the job is simply to bring a set of drops together at a single point and keep the look calm overhead.

This is the piece for a cluster rather than a row: pendants grouped over a dining table, a kitchen island, or dropped down a generous stairwell and gathered to a tidy centre. We reach for it where separate ceiling points would leave a ceiling looking peppered, and where the flexes themselves are meant to be seen. It suits open kitchens and long dining rooms especially, where a single wide disc gives the drops a visual anchor. It belongs indoors in rooms that stay dry, so a hallway, dining room or sitting room rather than a shower room or a covered porch.

Steel gives it the rigidity to stay flat and true across its width, and the chrome is polished evenly right out to the edge. Fingermarks and dust are the only real upkeep: a dry microfibre cloth brings the shine back, and we would keep household sprays, cream cleaners and anything gritty away from it, since bright plating marks more easily than it looks.
