Description

This is a long, slim white plate that draws a row of pendant flexes into one clean line across the ceiling. It runs 90cm from end to end, with a shallow depth that keeps it sitting close and quiet against the surface, and four holes set along its length so each drop takes up its own position rather than crowding its neighbours. There is no wiring or lamp in the plate itself; it is the tidy backbone behind a group of hanging lights, and the light itself comes from whatever you choose to suspend from it.

It earns its keep over a dining table, a kitchen island, a long counter or a reception desk, anywhere a single hanging light would look mean and a straight run of pendants looks right. We reach for one of these when a customer has fallen for a bare bulb pendant or a small shade and wants three or more of them marching in a line at the same height. The white finish suits a pale plaster or painted ceiling, where the plate more or less disappears and leaves the flexes and shades to do the talking.

The finish is a plain, even white with no gloss to catch the light, so it reads as part of the ceiling rather than as hardware. Keep it looking fresh with an occasional pass of a dry microfibre cloth along the top face and around the holes, where dust likes to settle; skip the sprays and solvents, which can dull painted surfaces over time. It is intended for dry interiors, well away from steam and splashes. It carries a one year warranty. We stock compression cord grips and metal cable grip kits alongside it in finishes from matt white to antique brass, so you can pick up the trimmings for your flexes at the same time.
