A slim rectangular plate in satin black, drilled with three holes spaced along its length, so a row of pendant drops can hang from a shared ceiling position rather than scattering across a room. At 700mm long it covers the sort of span a kitchen island or a dining table asks for, and it stays shallow, sitting tight to the ceiling line so the eye goes to the pendants rather than to the plate carrying them.

We reach for this when someone has already chosen the pendants they want and needs them lined up straight over a worktop, a long table or a breakfast bar; it is the piece that turns loose fittings into a considered row. It works equally well above a run of shelving, a reception desk or a console in a wide hallway. The plate is a non-electrical accessory and holds no lamp of its own, so the light, the flex length and the drop all come from the fittings you hang beneath it.

The satin finish is low in sheen, dark enough to read as a shadow line against a pale ceiling and quiet behind black or brass flex.
