Description

Small parts do quiet work, and this is one of them. Each pack holds five black cord grips, sized at 14mm across, with a short body that closes onto a pendant flex as the collar is tightened. Once it has taken hold, the cable stays where you set it rather than creeping through and lengthening the drop over time. There is nothing electrical about it: it carries no lamp and makes no connection, it simply grips.

We keep these to hand for pendant work of every sort, from a single flex over a bedside table to a run of shades above a kitchen island, and for stairwell hangs where the drop has to be exact. They suit anyone tidying an older pendant, swapping a shade for something lighter, or taking up a flex that has always hung too low. Because they arrive as a pack there are spares in the box for the next job, which is why we would rather sell them this way than one at a time.

The finish is a flat black that sits quietly against a dark flex and reads as part of the fitting rather than an addition to it. Keeping it looking right asks very little: a dry cloth over the body for dust, and any marks from handling come away with a cloth wrung out well. Dry indoor rooms are its place, well away from steam and splashes. It carries a one year warranty. The same grip is offered in clear and in white if the flex you are dressing is pale, and the range runs on into metal grip kits in finishes from polished chrome to antique brass, should you want the part to catch the light instead.
