Description

The Hartsville is a three-light chandelier built around a curved metal frame finished in a distressed chalk wash, with turned beachwood accents at the canopy, central column and candle cups. Three E14 candle fittings sit on curved metal arms that sweep out and up from the central turned wood column, each positioned on a beachwood bobbin.

Designed for dining rooms, breakfast rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Hartsville can be installed either as a full-drop pendant using the included 1524mm chain or converted to a semi-flush ceiling fitting by removing the chain and fixing the frame directly to the ceiling canopy. The minimum drop as a pendant is 597mm, which suits ceiling heights of 2.6m upwards when hung over a dining table. The 419mm width and soft two-tone finish avoid overwhelming smaller rooms.

The chalk washed metal has a deliberately worn, limed appearance that softens the contrast with the natural beachwood grain. Each wooden element is turned rather than moulded, giving visible tool marks and grain variation between individual pieces. The three candle arms form a balanced Y-shape when viewed from below, and the frame itself weighs approximately 1.8kg before bulbs are fitted. The E14 fittings take standard candle bulbs up to 40W each, giving flexibility to choose filament-style LED bulbs for a warmer look or plain candle bulbs for cleaner light output.
