Description

This Harry Potter metal decoration takes the shape of a shield. It is filled with warm orange epoxy and edged in gold, with the words Care of Magical Creatures standing out in raised gold lettering across the top. Beneath them a hippogriff, half eagle and half horse, sweeps across the face with its wings spread wide, picked out in fine gold line-work and framed by small stars. An orange ribbon loop rises from the top, ready to hang. It measures 17.5cm high, 7cm across and 0.3cm deep, a flat, slim piece that sits neatly on a branch.

It is at its best on the Christmas tree, where the gold rim glints against the lights and the orange face brings a warm, cheerful colour among the greens and reds.
