Harper Large LED Crystal Flush Ceiling Light 4000K 21W - Polished Chrome

The Harper Large is a 400mm flush ceiling light built around a clear glass dome filled with cascading crystal buttons, set within a polished chrome circular frame. An integrated 21W LED sits at the centre of the dome, casting 4000K cool white light through the crystal strands and clear glass, producing 1600 lumens of diffused ambient light.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Harper sits 230mm proud of the ceiling once fitted. The flush-mount design works in hallways, bedrooms, low-ceiling living rooms and modern bathrooms rated for Zone 3 (the fitting is not IP-rated but can be used outside shower enclosures). The 400mm diameter provides enough spread for rooms up to 15m² without needing multiple fittings.

The crystal buttons are individually threaded onto fine wires inside the dome, creating texture and refraction without blocking light transmission. The polished chrome frame reflects both ceiling and floor surfaces, visually expanding the fitting's presence. At 3.5kg the Harper requires a secure ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard fixing, and the non-dimmable LED is factory-set to 4000K, which reads as neutral white rather than warm or daylight.

Is the Harper dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and factory-set to 4000K. It cannot be paired with dimmer switches or smart lighting systems that require dimming capability.

What ceiling fixing is needed for the 3.5kg weight?

The Harper must be fixed to a ceiling joist or a reinforced plasterboard anchor rated for at least 5kg. Standard plasterboard cavity fixings are not sufficient for safe long-term installation.

What room size does 1600 lumens suit?

1600 lumens is sufficient as the primary light source in rooms up to approximately 15m² (a 4m x 3.75m bedroom or a 3.5m x 4.3m hallway). Larger spaces may benefit from a second fitting or supplementary task lighting.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. The glass dome can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. The crystal buttons inside the dome are harder to reach individually, so periodic dusting with a soft brush or compressed air prevents build-up without dismantling the fitting.
