Description
The Halox is a 250mm gold-finished metal wall light with two G9 bulb fittings set behind sandblasted Pyrex glass diffusers. The light body is formed from folded metal sheet with curved edges at the top and bottom, creating two upward and downward light channels. Each channel houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) that casts light through the sandblasted glass, softening the illumination and reducing glare.
Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, and dining areas where compact wall lighting is needed, the Halox projects 90mm from the wall and sits flush against the mounting surface. The 250mm width makes it suitable for narrower wall sections between doorways or for pairing in multiples along a corridor without overwhelming the wall space. The gold finish provides a warm metallic accent that works in both traditional interiors with brass hardware and contemporary rooms with warm-toned accents.
The metal construction gives the fitting a solid presence despite its compact size, and the folded-sheet design means there are no visible seams on the front face. The sandblasted Pyrex glass reduces the brightness of the G9 bulbs to a softer ambient glow rather than direct task light. The IP20 rating limits the Halox to dry indoor use only — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installation.
The Halox is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch, allowing the light level to be adjusted for different times of day. The 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers manufacturing defects and material faults.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Halox takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W are recommended for energy efficiency and heat reduction. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Halox is designed for dry indoor use only and is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor installation where moisture may be present.
How is the light directed?
The two curved channels at the top and bottom of the fitting direct light both upwards and downwards along the wall. The sandblasted Pyrex glass diffuses the light from the G9 bulbs, creating a soft wash rather than a focused beam.
What fixing method is used?
The Halox mounts to a standard wall plate or back box using screws through the rear of the metal body. The 90mm projection includes the mounting bracket, so the visible fitting sits close to the wall once installed.
