Description

The Halmarne is a five light pendant in black steel, with five slim cylindrical shades hanging at staggered heights from a round ceiling plate. It measures 150cm in overall height and 35cm in diameter, so it fills the space above a table without crowding the room. Each shade holds one E27 bulb of up to 60W. The bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of shape and warmth to you. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Over a dining table, the staggered shades give a cascade of light that looks good from every seat, and the round plate gathers all five drops into one tidy group rather than five separate fittings. It works just as well above a kitchen island or in an open-plan living room, where a single central light can look sparse. The black finish suits a monochrome or industrial scheme, and because each bulb sits bare beneath its shade, a decorative globe or filament bulb becomes part of the look.
