Description

This recessed downlight from the Glozo range is a square fitting that drops into a 75mm ceiling cut-out for a flush, low-profile finish. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is supplied separately, so you can pick the brightness and tone that suits the room. The bulb is not included. With overall dimensions of 88 x 88 x 48 mm and a fixed (non-tilting) position, it sits neatly into a standard plasterboard or grid ceiling.

Square downlights work well in kitchens, hallways, bathways and living spaces where a crisp, geometric ceiling layout is wanted, and they group cleanly in rows or grids across larger areas. The fixed position aims the light straight down, making it a tidy choice for general ambient lighting rather than directional accenting. Rated IP20, it is intended for dry indoor locations only, so keep it clear of bathroom shower zones and any exposed outdoor positions.

The body is made from aluminium alloy, which helps draw heat away from the lamp in service, and it is offered in a white or black finish to match either a discreet ceiling or a darker, contrast look. Installation is by spring clips into the 75mm cut-out, gripping the fitting firmly against the ceiling face. Each GU10 lamp it takes should be rated at no more than 10W. Whether the downlight can be dimmed depends entirely on the GU10 bulb you fit.
