Description
This is a recessed downlight fitting from the Flini range, a compact round housing that drops into a 60mm ceiling cut-out for a flush, low-profile finish. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is not included, so you can choose the wattage, tone and beam that suit the room. The fitting holds the lamp in a fixed forward-facing position, giving a clean, even wash of downward light once a bulb is fitted.
Rated IP44, this downlight stands up to splashes and moisture, which makes it suitable for bathroom ceilings away from direct spray, as well as kitchens, hallways and porches. The shallow Ø80 x 50 mm body keeps the recess depth modest, useful where ceiling void space is tight. With a 60mm cut-out it sits neatly in standard plasterboard ceilings, and several fittings can be spaced across a room for balanced general lighting.
The housing is made from aluminium alloy in a black finish, a sturdy choice that helps draw heat away from the lamp. Fitting is straightforward: form the 60mm cut-out, connect the GU10 holder and clip the unit into place with its spring retainers. It takes a GU10 lamp up to 10W maximum, supplied without a bulb so you can match the output to the space.

Frequently Asked
Is a bulb included?
No. This is a fitting only and is supplied without a lamp. It takes a single GU10 twist-lock bulb, which you buy separately, so you can pick the brightness and colour tone you prefer.
What size cut-out does it need?
It needs a 60mm cut-out in the ceiling. The body measures Ø80 x 50 mm, so allow a little clearance above the plasterboard for the lamp and wiring.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Yes, within reason. The IP44 rating means it resists splashes and moisture, so it suits bathroom ceilings positioned away from direct water spray, as well as kitchens and covered porches.
What wattage GU10 lamp can I use?
Use a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W maximum. LED GU10 bulbs sit well within this limit and run cooler, which suits the recessed enclosure.
