Description

This is a recessed downlight fitting from the Govik range, designed to sit flush in a ceiling. It takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is not included, leaving you free to choose the brightness and tone that suit the room. The housing holds the lamp in a fixed, downward position rather than a tilting one, giving a clean, neat look across a ceiling line.

The round form has a compact Ø80 mm face and drops into a standard 67mm cut-out, making it straightforward to space evenly across kitchens, hallways, living rooms and bedrooms. With an IP20 rating it is intended for dry indoor locations only, so keep it clear of bathrooms and any exposed outdoor positions. It accepts a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W max, which covers most general-purpose LED spotlight lamps.

The fitting is made from aluminium alloy in a black finish, measuring Ø80 × 60 mm overall. The slim depth helps it fit into ceiling voids where space behind the plasterboard is limited. The GU10 holder connects by a simple twist-lock, and the recessed body clips securely into the prepared cut-out. Dimming will depend on the GU10 lamp you fit, as the housing itself is a passive fitting.

No, the fitting is supplied without a bulb. It accepts a separate GU10 twist-lock lamp, which you choose and buy separately.

What size cut-out does it need?

It requires a 67mm cut-out in the ceiling. The fitting then drops into the prepared hole and clips into place, leaving the Ø80 mm face flush against the ceiling.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. With an IP20 rating it is suitable for dry indoor locations only, so it should not be installed in bathrooms, exposed porches or any outdoor position.

What wattage lamp can I fit?

It takes a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W max. Most general LED GU10 spotlight lamps sit well within this limit.
