Description

This recessed downlight, from the Glozo range, is a round fitting designed to sit flush into a ceiling cut-out. It takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is not included, leaving the choice of brightness and tone to you. The position is fixed, so the lamp points straight down for general and accent lighting across a room.

The shallow 50mm body depth suits ceilings with limited void above, making it a practical option in rooms where a deeper fitting would not fit. Install it into a 61mm cut-out in the ceiling face; the trim then covers the edge for a tidy finish. Spacing several units in a grid gives even coverage across kitchens, hallways and living spaces. It carries an IP20 rating, so keep it to dry indoor locations away from splashes and steam.

The housing is aluminium alloy in a black and gold finish, giving a crisp two-tone trim against a plain ceiling. It accepts GU10 lamps up to a maximum of 10W. Whether the fitting can be dimmed depends entirely on the bulb you fit, since the housing itself plays no part in that. The compact round form and fixed downward aim make it a straightforward choice for new ceilings or refits.

No, the downlight is supplied without a bulb. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which you buy separately to suit your preferred brightness and colour.

What size cut-out does it need?

Can I use this outdoors or in a bathroom?
