Description
The Govik is a recessed downlight that drops into a 67mm ceiling cut-out for a flush, low-profile finish. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and tone that suit the room. The fitting holds the lamp in a fixed position rather than tilting, giving a clean downward wash from the ceiling. With an overall diameter of 80mm and a depth of 60mm, it sits neatly into a standard recess.
The round form and white and gold finish work well across kitchens, hallways, living rooms and bedrooms, used singly over a feature point or spaced in a run for even general lighting. As an IP20 fitting it is rated for dry indoor locations only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and anywhere exposed to splashes or moisture. Plan the cut-out positions before drilling, allowing the 67mm aperture and clearance above the ceiling for the lamp and wiring.
The housing is made from aluminium alloy in a two-tone white and gold finish, combining a white outer trim with a gold inner reflector ring. It takes a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W maximum, fitted by twist-lock from below, and is held by spring clips that grip the ceiling board once pushed into the recess. Whether the light dims depends on the lamp and dimmer you pair with it, as the fitting itself is a passive housing.

Frequently Asked
Is a bulb included with this downlight?
No, the fitting is supplied without a lamp. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock bulb, which you buy separately so you can pick your preferred wattage and colour tone.
What size cut-out does it need?
It requires a 67mm cut-out in the ceiling. Allow enough depth above the board, as the fitting is 60mm deep, plus clearance for the lamp and wiring.
Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. This is an IP20 fitting rated for dry indoor use only, so it should be kept clear of bathrooms, porches and any location exposed to moisture or splashes.
Can the head be angled or tilted?
No, this is a fixed-position downlight, so the lamp points straight down. If you need to aim or tilt the beam, choose an adjustable spotlight fitting instead.
