Description
This recessed downlight is a fixed-position ceiling fitting that accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp. The bulb is supplied separately, so you can pick the brightness and tone that suit the room. The round trim measures Ø98 mm with a 44 mm depth behind the ceiling, and the housing is finished in black with a gold-toned inner ring for a neat two-colour look against a plain ceiling.
Built for indoor use at IP20, this fitting suits dry living spaces such as lounges, bedrooms, hallways and home offices where a discreet flush downlight is wanted. The fixed head sits level with the ceiling and casts light straight down, making it a tidy choice in rows for general ceiling lighting or as part of a wider downlight layout. Keep it clear of bathroom zones, porches and any spot exposed to moisture.
The housing is made from aluminium alloy, which helps move heat away from the lamp, and it takes a GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Installation is recessed: the fitting drops into a 70mm cut-out and is held in place by sprung retaining clips, so no visible fixings show on the face. From the Aret range, it is sold without a bulb so the lamp can be chosen to match the rest of the room.

Frequently Asked
Is a bulb included?
No, the fitting is supplied without a bulb. It accepts a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which you buy separately to suit the brightness and colour you want.
What size cut-out does it need?
It fits a 70mm cut-out in the ceiling. The fitting drops into the hole and is held by sprung clips, so check you have at least 44 mm of clearance above the ceiling for the housing.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. This fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so it should not be installed in bathroom wet zones, porches or any location exposed to moisture.
Can the head be angled?
No, this is a fixed-position downlight, so it sits level with the ceiling and directs light straight down. If you need to aim the beam, choose an adjustable spotlight fitting instead.
