Description
This round recessed downlight is a fitting only, supplied without a bulb. It takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which you choose separately to set the brightness and tone you want. The housing holds the lamp in a fixed forward-facing position, so it sits level with the ceiling once installed and directs the light straight down.
It drops into a standard 68mm ceiling cut-out, with a compact body of around 96mm across and 42mm deep, so it suits modern plasterboard ceilings and shallower voids. The IP20 rating means it is intended for dry interior rooms such as bedrooms, living spaces and hallways, away from splashes and moisture. The pink finish gives a clear decorative accent against a white or pale ceiling, and several can be spaced across a room for even general lighting once fitted with lamps.
The frame is made from aluminium alloy for a solid feel and good heat handling around the lamp. It accepts GU10 lamps up to a maximum of 10W, which covers most standard LED spotlights, and the GU10 fitting twists in and locks without tools. Part of the pink-finish version of this Aret recessed downlight, it offers a tidy flush look in a single fixed position.
