Description

This Govik recessed downlight is a fixed, round ceiling fitting that takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, supplied without a bulb so the GU10 of your choice can be fitted. The housing measures Ø80 by 60 mm and drops neatly into a 67mm cut-out, sitting flush against the ceiling face for a tidy finish. It holds the lamp in a fixed downward position rather than tilting, giving a straight, even wash beneath each fitting.

Built for general indoor ceilings, it suits hallways, landings, living rooms and bedrooms where a clean recessed look is wanted. Spaced in a regular grid across a ceiling, several of these fittings together cover a room evenly, with the exact spread depending on the GU10 lamp chosen. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor positions only and should be kept clear of bathroom zones and any outdoor or exposed locations.

The body is aluminium alloy in a white finish that blends into a painted ceiling. The GU10 holder accepts lamps up to 10W maximum, and the spring-clip mounting grips the plasterboard once pushed into the 67mm aperture, so no extra fixings are needed. As the fitting is sold without a bulb, brightness, tone and any dimming behaviour come down to the GU10 lamp you pair with it.

No, this fitting is supplied without a bulb. It accepts one GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is bought separately so you can choose the wattage and tone you prefer.

What size cut-out does it need?

It needs a 67mm cut-out in the ceiling. The fitting then drops in and is held by its spring clips against the back of the plasterboard, finishing flush with the ceiling face.

Can the fitting be angled or tilted?

No, this is a fixed-position downlight, so the lamp points straight down. If you need to aim the light at a wall or feature, choose an adjustable spotlight instead.
