Description
This Talu recessed downlight is a square fitting designed to drop neatly into a ceiling, sitting flush within a 60mm cut-out. It takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which locks into place with a quarter turn. The lamp is supplied separately, so you can pick the wattage, tone and beam to suit the space. Position is fixed, giving a clean downward wash from a compact 84 × 84 mm trim.
Rated IP44, it stands up to splashes and moisture, which makes it a sensible choice for bathroom ceilings outside the immediate shower zone, as well as kitchens, hallways and utility areas. The shallow 30 mm depth helps where space above the ceiling is tight. Several units can be spaced across a ceiling for even general lighting, with the chosen GU10 lamp setting the actual brightness and colour of each.
The body is aluminium alloy in a white finish that blends into most ceilings. Installation is straightforward: cut the 60mm hole, wire the fitting and clip it in with the sprung retaining arms. It accepts GU10 lamps up to 10W. Whether the light can be dimmed depends entirely on the lamp you fit. The square Talu trim suits modern, minimal interiors where a discreet recessed look is wanted.

Frequently Asked
Is a bulb included?
No, this is the fitting only. It accepts a separate GU10 twist-lock lamp rated up to 10W, which you choose and buy to suit the room.
What size cut-out do I need?
The fitting requires a 60mm cut-out in the ceiling. Spring-loaded retaining arms hold it flush against the ceiling face once it is pushed into place.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Its IP44 rating means it resists splashes and moisture, so it suits bathroom ceilings outside the direct shower or bath zone, as well as kitchens and utility rooms. Always check the relevant bathroom zone requirements for your installation.
Can the angle be adjusted?
No, this is a fixed-position downlight, so it directs light straight down. If you need a tiltable beam, an adjustable spotlight fitting would be the better option.
